Just when all hope was lost, I walked through these doors and found a new will to live without drugs. I could never imagine this day would ever happen. Thank you to the therapists, thank you to the mentoring staff, and thank you to my peers! I have found what it actually means to live a full life worth living. Residential Program Graduate Our mission is to foster the development of happy individuals by treating our clients as whole and complex people who want to get better. We help them build value-based lives, both as individuals and members of a community. Our evidence-based treatment models combine the latest in mental health treatment with a cultivated community atmosphere, allowing us to guide clients through the mental health recovery process with both efficiency and compassion. New Roads Behavioral Health offers multiple levels of care, each focused on a specific population. Our programs are results-driven, proven to provide better long-term success. These levels of care include: Residential, Transitional Living, Partial Hospitalization (PHP/day treatment), Intensive Outpatient (IOP), General Outpatient (GOP), and Psychiatric Outpatient. New Roads invests heavily in the training of staff, including direct support staff, to ensure the ability to meet the unique treatment needs of clients with complex mental health diagnoses, enabling them to build a road towards a life worth living. Our team was lucky enough to receive a gender affirming care training from the lead therapist at Encircle, Jack Haden. Encircle is an LGBTQ+ resource for youth and families. New Roads Behavioral Health is extremely proud to announce that our clinical staff, led by Eric Schmidt, CEO, MSSW, LCSW recently completed their certification for CAMS: Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality to better serve our clients with suicidal ideation. In September, our clinicians were honored to receive a training about exposure and response prevention for those diagnosed with OCD from expert Dr. Elizabeth Turk-Karan, Ph.D. This training is vital in helping to serve our clients who struggle with OCD behaviors in their daily life. The CEO of New Roads, Eric Schmidt, travels around the country to train clinicans and mental health industry leaders about Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). In early November 2022, Eric was a featured speaker at the 38th Annual Gult Coast Conference on Addiction and Recovery.
