We recommend cleaning your home's air ducts at least once every three to five years. If you have pets, suffer allergies or have any breathing issues you should consider an annual cleaning. If your have any construction or renovation in your home you should have the ducts cleaned at the end of the project to remove construction debris and drywall dust.

Indoor dust and pollutants are much more dangerous to breathe than outdoor dust, especially in today's typically sealed commercial buildings. Our humid climate can allow mold, mildew, fungi and bacteria to grow. Commercial air ducts can also be contaminated with dust, pollen, rodent feces and dead skin cells. Commercial buildings are typically conditioned to a cooler temperature and the constant recirculation of contaminated air can irritate allergies and other respiratory problems.

Mold is a common issue in commercial building and home interiors with poor humidity control. The US Environmental Protection Agency recommends professional HVAC mold remediation mold is present in HVAC ducts, registers, air handlers or closets. Mold is detrimental for indoor air quality, producing an unpleasant musty odor and causing allergic reactions.

Air filters play a critical role in maintaining the air quality in your indoor space by trapping dust and particles out of the air you breath. Your HVAC's air flow becomes restricted when dust collects on your air filters. We recommend that you replace your air filters every 30 - 60 days. If you have pets, allergies, asthma or suffer from any breathing difficulties your filters should be changed every 14 - 30 days.

UV (Ultra Violet) light air purifiers provide a unique benefit that no other filtration can match — they actually kill harmful particles and pathogens present in the air you breath. UV-C light is a powerful radiation, harmless to people but excellent at killing microorganisms like pathogens and germs. No air filter on its own, including HEPA filters, can kill bacteria, viruses and other pathogens.

A dehumidifier removes moisture from the air. Excess moisture can cause multiple seen and unseen issues in hour home or office. New and remodeled homes are better insulated than ever before. This saves you energy on your cooling bills but also can create less air flow and trap humidity. Older homes can have poorly insulated windows and walls allowing cool surfaces to sweat.

Accumulated dryer vent lint causes 20,000+ (reported) fires every year. As the lint accumulates over time in your dryer vent it reduces airflow causing the dryer to take longer to dry the clothes and to overheat and possibly cause a dryer fire. Fire departments and insurance companies recommend you have your dryer vent inspected and cleaned every year.
