We're doing our best to keep our installers and customers safe while getting the job done.  In most fire jurisdictions, we're submitting plans and obtaining fire sprinkler permits electronically, but fire inspectors are still doing on-site inspections in person.  There are a few rules we must follow to minimize everyone's exposure to the virus, but we've learned over these past months to incorporate them into our routine work processes.  So far so good!  In 1948, Ed Sinclair founded Sinclair Plumbing in Southern California,  where his men installed the plumbing in thousands of homes built during the postwar  housing boom.  His son Ron Sinclair opened Sinclair Plumbing in Corte Madera in  1972, back when the current owner Dean Sinclair (Ron's son), was in  junior high school. Â

 Time passed...Following a graduate degree at U.C. Irvine, Dean Sinclair spent years working in the ophthalmic pharmaceuticals business in international marketing. Ready for a big life change, Dean returned to Marin in 2005, and brought with  him Philo Sinclair (his German Shepherd (pictured), to head up security and  morale. He started Sinclair Fire Protection, Inc. at the location  previously occupied by Sinclair Plumbing. Ron Sinclair is semi-retired,  but he is still active in the daily business of Sinclair Fire Protection.
  Over the past 49 years, we have installed thousands of fire sprinkler systems in Marin homes, from palatial to cozy. Our prices are competitive. We know everyone in the various fire department jurisdictions in Marin. We're professional, competent, easy to work with, and plus... we like dogs!  NO! Only the fire sprinklers that have been  directly subjected to the heat of a fire will activate.  Smoke won't do  it. Fire on the other side of the house won't do it. Only the fire  sprinklers directly over the fire will activate.Â
